Michigan Ability Partners (MAP) is a non-profit organization that provides housing assistance for disabled individuals. MAP partnered with A.R. Brouwer Company to construct a ten-unit apartment building for their disabled clients, while involving them in the building process of their future residence. Clients assisted in constructing the outer walls by assembling wall forms similar to building blocks, which were then filled with Litecrete concrete. They also provided interior painting and tile work. Each apartment includes a kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom and bedroom.
A.R. Brouwer Company was awarded a Community Spirit Award by MAP for its contributions to the project.
