Adaptive Reuse Turns Bowling Alley into Office Building
A.R. Brouwer Company renovated a restaurant/bowling alley into a new office building. Work started with selective demolition of the building’s exterior and complete interior demolition. The front elevation was rebuilt with an entryway on the north side, and a warehouse addition on the back provided storage space. The interior of the new office space kept the original bowstring roof trusses and wood planking exposed. The old bowling lanes were salvaged and reused for interior finishes in the conference room and lobby.
