A.R. Brouwer has contributed to a variety of community improvements and events. One example is the gazebo in Dexter Community Park, which was a highly visible contribution to the community. A.R. Brouwer Company partnered with local subcontractors to donate time and material for the gazebo project, making it a real hometown effort. Another example is the Monument Park Building, located in the heart of downtown Dexter. A.R. Brouwer constructed the Monument Park Building, and Steve received the Dexter Chamber’s ’Spark Plug’ Award for his positive impact on the community due to the landmark project.
